About OAG
The OAG currently has approximately 180 staff comprising of auditors and support staff spread across its two offices, the head office in Gaborone and the regional office in Francistown. All officers adhere to the international code of ethics for the auditing profession and the planning and execution of all audits is carried out in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing.
The OAG was in 2006 appointed the auditor of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) until 2008. Additionally, in 2007 the OAG in conjunction with the Auditors General of Angola and Zimbabwe were appointed joint auditors of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
OAG is currently a member of the following regional and international professional organizations:
• African Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions in the English speaking region (AFROSAI-E)
• International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI)
